Track & Snap (Track and Snap Private Limited, "we," "us") operates the Track & Snap mobile app, which lets authorized fleet operators and their staff view the real-time location, status, and trip history of vehicles fitted with GPS tracking hardware. This policy explains what information the app handles when you use it, and applies to anyone who signs in to a Track & Snap account.
Track & Snap is a business tool for fleet monitoring. It's provided to you by your employer or fleet operator, who controls which vehicles and drivers you can see.
To sign in, you provide the email address and password issued by your fleet operator. Your password is sent securely to authenticate you and is never stored by the app — only a session token is kept, in your device's encrypted secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), so you stay signed in between app launches. Signing out deletes this token from your device immediately.
Once signed in, the app displays live data reported by the GPS tracking devices installed in your fleet's vehicles, including:
The app retrieves each vehicle's recorded GPS breadcrumbs to display route playback, recent-trip trails, and weekly distance summaries. This history is generated and stored on your fleet operator's tracking platform, not on your device — the app fetches it on demand.
Where a vehicle has a driver assigned by your fleet operator, the app displays that driver's name alongside the vehicle. The app also displays device-generated alerts (for example, fuel-fill events, ignition changes, or a manually triggered panic alert) tied to a vehicle and timestamp.
Beyond the encrypted session token described above, the app does not persist vehicle or account data to your device's storage. Live data is fetched from the tracking platform each time you use the app.
Track & Snap deliberately requests none of the following, and contains no software development kits for advertising or analytics:
Everything the app handles is used for one purpose: showing you the fleet-monitoring information your account is authorized to see — live vehicle positions and status, trip history, and alerts. We do not use this data for advertising, do not build behavioral profiles, and do not use it to train third-party models.
All data between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your sign-in session is stored using your device's built-in encrypted storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) rather than as plain text. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we don't hold onto more than the app needs to function.
Vehicle location and trip history are retained on the tracking platform according to your fleet operator's account plan. Your session token lives only on your device and is deleted the moment you sign out or uninstall the app.
Track & Snap is a business tool for fleet operators and their staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify account administrators. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
